About Cordant Winery
Cordant embraces the breadth of the Central Coast wine regions, purchasing fruit from 15-17 distinctive vineyards, from Monterey County (and Santa Lucia Highlands) in the north down through Santa Barbara County (and Sta Rita Hills) in the south. It is the vineyard variation of microclimates, soil types, and vineyard practices, with a nod to the distinctive Rhone and Burgundy wine regions in France that Cordant embraces for making its wines. Numerous wines are designated by vineyard because of unique site characteristics (for instance, Radian Vineyard Pinot Noir from Sta Rita Hills), but others are blended to create complexities afforded by distinctive growing sites in different regions.
As a small producer, Cordant makes about 3000 cases of wine per year, where its small team is like family. An important milestone…2023 was Cordant Winery’s 10th harvest, an exciting accomplishment for the entire team!
